HSD Welcomes Kelly Barkman
August 28, 2024 – Steinbach, MB – The Board of Trustees welcomes Kelly Barkman to the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥. Kelly has been appointed by the Minister of Education and Early Childhood Learning to serve in an advisory role to the Board, with funding provided by the Province.
Kelly brings a wealth of administrative experience to this new role. He recently retired from the River East Transcona School Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ in 2022, where he served as Superintendent-CEO for ten years. Before joining River East Transcona, he served as the Superintendent of the Red River School Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ for nine years. Kelly began his teaching career at Niverville Elementary School in 1982 and was employed in the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ for 21 years, including as a principal in Landmark and Kleefeld.
